Beginner Bridge Level 2: Lesson series

This course is for those who have specifically taken Beginner Bridge (Level 1) at EBC or an equivalent first bridge course. (Those wishing to verify equivalence, please check the Absolute Beginner course description on the Learning Materials section of the EBC Web Page

* Review of Beginner course

* Bidding: Opener's Rebids

* Competitive Bidding: Overcalls & Doubles; review and responses

* Playing the Hand: Building Blocks of Declarer Play

* Playing the Hand: Analyze and Play Trump & NT contracts

* Defense: Basics

* Defense: Talking with your cards

* Bidding: Big Hands

* Bidding: Adding some conventions (Blackwood, Gerber)

* Transfers Responding to 1NT

* Last week: Supervised Play & Casual competition

The following applies to the Beginner Level 2 course starting January 2021.

Classes run every Tuesday
Time: 2:00 - 4:00
Cost: $165 for the 10-week course
Includes text (Audrey Grant "Play of the Hand"), course notes and (eventually) one free play coupon to any EBC duplicate games
Students need to have Internet access, use Zoom communications software and have an email address
The course will run 10 (maybe 11) weeks from January 5, 2021 to March 9 (16), 2021.
